Yep, a typical day for us kids in the late 1960s!

 

Not for me. I turned 13 in 1965 and had to go to work, mowing, picking up bottles, working at the grocery store stacking groceries on the shelf then after supper go bush hog or bail hay, etc. Had to buy my clothes and school books etc.

 

What! Only 5 miles.....

 

I have been my strange imperfect self in this place, going on 13 years, and it has largely been an under appreciated gift to SM. I kind of appreciate how Randle Patrick McMurphy felt.
