As awesome as "The Norris" is...he can't tie a square not for crap.

Actually he tied a thieves knot so he could tell if someone was messing with his trees... obviously no one did...

 

Looks like a granny knot to me, a proven failure under any kind of stress....

 

A thieves knot looks like a square knot but results in the same end of rope coming out in a different place than a square knot. Hard to describe, here's a couple of pictures:
