From a woman's perspective, men are pretty uncomplicated....playing with her man's joystick will pretty much get her whatever she wants ;)

Privates fight and die to win the wars that Generals get the credit for....but the logisticians are the ones that make victory possible...or defeat inevitable. Without the bullets, beans and bandages that sustain war, even the best generals, and the most competent of soldiers, are rendered virtually ineffectual.

That sounds an awful lot like S-4 logi warfighter hoorah ballyhoo. ;)

Maybe they need to have a CIB type of award....maybe an ammo can with a wreath...you could even have some bars hanging off of it that say "water buffalo" or maybe "coffee".

Just poking....Don't take offense....as all service is respected....[chopper]

No offence taken...am just stating a fact...The Wehrmacht's offensive during the Battle of the Bulge ground to a halt, partly due to the stout resistance of allied troops along the main supply routes of the German formations, but also because the offensive couldn't be sustained logistically. The Axis and Allied offensives and counter offensives in North Africa ebbed and flowed depending on the logistic resources available at the time by one or both sides.

Have a look at the Battle of the Admin Box in the Burma Campaign at the efforts of the 7 th Indian Division logistics units in defending their own logistics installations against Japanese attack. Any gallantry decorations they were awarded in that action, they justly earned ;)

You are absolutely correct of course. During the first Gulf war logistics ran like hell and did well to keep up. If they had not been able to... The offensive would have stalled for sure. Just throwing darts for fun ;)

Some of my best freindz were logistics S-4 types....supply sergeants are the best. They can work miracles if you have a good one!!

Sergeants may be good but they can't hold a candle to a navy storekeeper. Why when a good "comshaw artist" turns two the admiral never even knows that his desk was used to crate up his booze and cigars and sent on it's way to the next "acquisition"

Thanks to some of our own experts and comshaw artist we were using "Blue Boxes" long before there was an internet. Undersea cables were the norm and each switch connection required another amplification. It was a lot like talking short wave except over deep sea wires.
