Yep, I've done all this and more.
Brewed Sassafrass Tea from the actual plant.
Cleaned brass with orange Koolade.
Ran an old reel-to-reel film projector.
Stripped down and rebuilt a six cylinder engine.
Stripped a motorcycle to the bare frame and rebuilt it.
Fished with a seine net and cast net.
Helped my Dad build our house-sized garage/shop building, doing concrete, framing carpentry, roofing, painting, full electrical and plumbing work.
Heck, stuff any young rural guy growing up in my day was expected to do.

Yep -
-Wired in rotary phones.
-Black and white TVs with two channels was all that existed.
-Ran reel-to-reel projectors in jr. high, and later at the drive-in theater. Though in college I was the only guy in the dorm who knew how, so I got to run the projector for when the girls all watched "How to Say NO to a Rapist and Survive." That was a fun one to sit through - Not.
-Didn't rebuild the straight six engine, but I did swap it out and convert the truck from 6V to 12V.
-Swapped out clutches on multiple cars, rebuilt brakes too.
-Installed cast iron sprinkler pipes, including cutting and threading for the sprinkler heads.
-Learned to drive on an anti-millenial-car-thief car with a three-on-the-tree shifter.
Yeah, normal stuff back in the day.

 

There is so much that I have done growing up
rebuilt Johnson 10hp outboard
built a sailfish boat
built a go cart as a metal shop project
56 chevy 6 swapped for a V8 stick shift
help my Dad rebuild and fiberglass a 16' sailboat
rebuilt a Harley Sportster first motorcycle
learned a lot from my Dad wiring, plumbing, wood working --all came in handy over the course of my life

 

THAT is just all kinds of WRONG! Like "Send the vegan who suggested such a product to the deepest level of Hell" kind of wrong! Down where they put child molestors, pet abusers, democrat politicians and telephone solicitors!

 

Not me, I obey the laws.
Now, the scariest horror movie fiends for me is a meetup of San Fran Nan, O'crazio-Cortex, Omar The Tent-Maker and Shrillary. That'll give anyone nightmares!
