Motivational Poster Thread (warning content)

I've occasionally dreamed about being back in the military. Sometimes my first (USAF) hitch, more often on my Navy ship during second hitch.
Once, in the early 90s, I fell out of bed, scrambling in a crawl til I banged my head on the wall! Don't remember what I was dreaming.

eh, that was BS when they started it. They'll just inflate til it's worthless anyway.

 

Little known fact if you paid into SS and worked at certain jobs and had a retirement you are not allowed to collect your full SS only a small fraction of what is owed you. The government called it double dipping--I call it government theft.

 

I can remember people dressing up decently to go to fast food restaurants and.... gasp!.... Walmart!

 

I dress down to fit in , and stay gray. EYES WIDE OPEN !!

I couldn't even go out on liberty looking like that. Would get you thrown out of the PX as PT attire. But there was a reason behind the collared shirt and trouser belt requirement. When the MP's or Shore Patrol had to bring you home they could run their 22" baton under your belt, grab your collar and press that baton into your back until your feet almost came off the ground. Let them steer the meanest drunk around wherever they wanted him to go.
