I've been retired for a very long time and I think that's a good thing, because news like this would
make my head explode if I read it on the daily message board and had to comply with it. At my last
post prior to retirement I found three fat-bodies that had been hidden from the command by the previous
Platoon Commander. I did my best to provide physical fitness training for them, running in circles trying
to keep them in the front of the formation. I eventually took two to court martial and discharge and retired
the third beach ball early. We had no place for "food blisters" in the Marine Corps. I had always been in
all male units, so the greatest challenge for me back in the last century was a woman Marine with a medical
exemption from weight standards following pregnancy. Sounds easy enough. There's a time limit after
delivery. So how do you deal with a woman who has had six such exemptions, but has no children?
The answer back then was a General Discharge, but it wasn't without a fight.

I wouldn't want to be a young officer now. I'd probably end up with a fat feral furry in the platoon somewhere.

And now you know why nobody with a brain in their noggin wants anything to do with "Today's military". I tell kids not to waste their time. Of course, all I the kids know are normies....
