In meetings I always supplied M&Ms. Chocolate is supposed to boost the brain's pleasure center, and make folks more agreeable.

 

Hmm,,,, I always thought that was beer ,,,

 

Wow you folks are nice. I make everyone put their cell phones in a basket by the door until the meeting is adjourned.
Needless to say, my meetings have an agenda and take away actions before our next meeting and are typically done early.

EDIT: that was before we all went remote. I'm pretty sure that those that don't have their cameras on are answering other IMs or emails or tiktoking. Oh well.

 

I got the question in a text this evening. "Is you phone on?"

reminds me of the cactus I had that only drank beer. It survived
for about five years with little light and turned completely white.

 

Didn't work for me in Japan. They were very polite while doing the paperwork for a speeding ticket that
would put me on international legal hold. Didn't work here either. It never crossed my mind when I passed
that car that I could do 112 MPH in third gear. Nice officer asked if all my cars had a tachometer in the
middle of the dash. I answered honestly, pointing to the legal, lighted, 160 MPH speedometer in a custom
billet aluminum housing under the passenger side of the dash. "Nope, just this one."
