I've found cars, or what was left of cars in the Carolina pine forests around here. Nothing was left but a lump in the trail where the remains of the engine was, some pieces of glass and the stainless trim from around the windows. I found old home sites in the woods from the rows of tulips that continued to come up every spring along the front walk and porch. The homes had vaporized as thoroughly as the cars.
