I'm not just a pretty face...M1 Garand has a max rate of fire of 40-50 rounds per minute (5-8.25 en bloc clips) depending on musketry skills...not as high rate of fire as a belt fed MG, but fast enough to make a dent in a bunch of mutant zombie bikers. Chicom and North Korean human wave attackers found out the painful way.

 

200 rounds of 7.62x39 on stripper clips will keep an SKS fed pretty smoothly.

I was wearing homemade gray flannel clothes and camping with my parents in a VW Bus in '63. I don't remember much TV at all from my youth.
I was always outside. I can remember the theme from Perry Mason, Ed Skelton and Ed Sullivan. I caught little bits of them when I was getting ready for bed.

 

What, no Lawrence Welk?

 

I saw some of Dobie during my after school snack ,, then down to the creek chasing turtles and crawdads. And yep a little Mason, Sullivan,, he mostly nighttime shows ,, about the only thing I liked about Welk was the bubbles ,, didn't care for the rest of him ,,, during his show I was in my room spinning 45s on the record player .

 

I had to watch that at Grandma's. I preferred watching Hee Haw with the neighbor kids Grandpa.

 

Looks like Dad entertaining his daughter's new boyfriend.
