We're getting close to the much vaunted Orwellian Utopia. A couple more fraudulent elections and a few more liberal Department and Judicial Appointees, and that should do it!

 

I love it when conservative cartoons (post #4105) try to post a conservative meme gotcha...they shoot themselves in the foot when they replicate the false claim that revolvers don't / can't eject cartridges from the cylinder each time a cartridge is cycled after being fired. Such revolvers do exist...

The STRumpet in the cartoon frame was obviously firing a von Steiger, or a Silver and Fletcher...which he could afford to buy. Donald still had one live one up the spout to shoot into his foot.

Instead of focusing on the trivialities of artists, using artistic license, to illustrate political issues, perhaps the carping critics in the memes could instead, focus on exploring the potential solutions to mitigating the lethality of mass shooters in American communities...simply $h!tbagging the artists, their artistry, and gun reform politicians / advocates seems like an empty, pointless bit of self congratulatory 2A Onanism.

 

So what would happen if this tiny minority of shitposters waved their magic wands and somehow SOLVED the problem of mass shooters? Taking away the means is not going to stop the sick, twisted killers who are determined to do this sort of mass killing. Far deadlier and more powerful weapons can be made with items in the kitchen and garage. No age limits, background checks or waiting periods.

There's nothing new about evil. It's always been with us, and always will. What has changed is the establishment of gun free school zones, non-stop news coverage of the killers deed, no firearms safety training in schools, kids that don't see their food go from barn and woods to table, adults who allow electronic devices to raise their children, and apparently men who won't run to the sound of gunfire. I'll add communities that don't come together to get to know their neighbors, be it at church, community events or for militia muster at the rifle range.

 

I was addressing my remarks to the meme creators...and their product...but having said that...blaming society as it has now apparently become in the USA is one way to ignore the fact that the firearms typically used by mass shooters is a force multiplier that increases the lethal potential of their murderous behaviour.

There are many comparable first world countries with societies which have

• Gun free zones
• No school firearms safety training programs
• Children who don't see food go from the farms and woods to the table
• Children whose use of electronic devices are poorly overseen by parents
• Men who won't run to the sound of gunfire
• Communities that don't come together to get to know their neighbours
• Militia Musters at the local rifle range

And yet, they don't have mass shooting events of the scale and frequency to be found in the USA

Also what we classify as a “school shooting” in this country is not just thing like sandy hook and this tx shooting. If a drug deal on a school playground at 2 am involving 30 year old men goes wrong and someone gets shot in the US they classify that as a school shooting. MOST school shootings that happen in the US are these kinds of things. The crazies like in TX and buffalo super market are very different.
tell me how an unemployed high school flunk out has a late model F150 he recently purchased as well as 2 weapons, magazines and ammo for them that would have cost him $5000 or so. Where did he get the money for the guns and the truck? Something about that is strange. The timeline for that is also very strange.

 

Thanks chelloveck, I was baiting you a bit, but it'll help make this point. Something else no other country has is a FBI that was in contact with many of these killers before they execute their deadly plot. Very odd.
