And we think we're so smart with our USB chargers and lithium batteries.

The reel mower and push sweeper are just a couple examples of manual stuff that was working just fine before everything took batteries or had to be plugged in. Sewing machines, adding machines, cash registers, hand drills... so many common items that
still work. Nowadays they're "Off-grid, cordless, and run on remewable energy." (people power)

There is one that I don't miss at all. It put the MAN in manual.

 

can still remember and old singer foot pumped sewing machine my mom used... can't find such things much anymore...

and I hated those push mowers!

 

Better than spoons and bars and possibly a widow maker.

 

Have a newer model that the wife loves to push, She calls that exercise, Is it 5 o'clock somewhere?

 

….still use one in the old house I stay in when hunting!!
