How about a 4 track? Bad decision to buy one of those.

 

Did you buy a Betamax video player too?

I knew all my 8 track tapes well enough that I could hit the button to switch tracks and remix the songs. Maybe that's why when I hear lyrics in my head they sometimes come out wrong. The most consistent is this one.

I did something similar. I had a supervisor that would sneak into my homemade beef jerky and help himself.
So one day I was telling everyone about a new jerky recipe that I had made.
When the break bell rang. A bunch of guys came around, and I was passing out samples. The guy came around and said " Hey, where's mine, buddy?"
I said I think you already had enough. Since the ziploc baggie he was stealing jerky out of, was half empty.
He said he didn't know what I was talking about. Soooooo, I was holding the real jerky in my hand. Went and got the " Special" jerky baggie, tossed it at him, with an empty package of dog " Beggin Strips "
We all started barking at him laffing! He never stole my jerky again!!!!!

 

Still better behaved than cats.

 

We had cornmeal mush for breakfast and my mom would put the leftover mush on a cookie sheet so we would have cookies after school.

 

I had an 8-track, in my home. Never in the car.

 

Corn meal mush for breakfast with bacon and maple syrup. Nowadays people just give a blank stare when you mention it.

 

I still have a portable 8 track player and a box full of tapes.

 

You had me right up until the maple syrup. I don't do sweet on mush or grits. I make up a batch of mush once in a while with finely diced smoked jowl bacon in it to chill and then fry

 

It was yummy.
That and a quality Farina (not the box of cream of wheat) with a drizzle of maple syrup.

 

And then you wake up.
