This was one change in Marine Corps uniform policy that I supported. The bucket cover for drill instructors was wrong.

 

Those 6 women look meaner than any battalion of armed invaders I've ever seen,,,

 

I'd rather have the 2 i had in the army than any of them as a di. Outside of that, I'd take 2,3 and 6 going from the left.

 

My personal experience with females in the armed services was never good, neither my USAF hitch or my Navy hitch. I hope things changed in the 34 years since I got out.

 

Yes we are different. However it seems some of the new female airmen come in looking to be coddled. Then I am stuck claiming them by default. Come on ladies, if you can’t do the job don’t join. You just make the rest of us look bad.

 

My experience with junior enlisted Woman Marines (which is probably an outdated, although accurate term) was generally not good. The issue in all cases was youth. If I hadn't stayed deployed so long I might've married one or two.

Older WM senior enlisted, former drill instructors and officers that I worked with were true professionals and masters of their field and leaders of Marines. I would put them up against any man in the same job.

 

My brother married one during his second hitch, about 44 years ago, they're still married!

... and I learned to type on a Teletype machine, learned to drive on a stick shift, and learned to think for myself, too!

 

I might have had the same lady corpsmen do my TB test, or maybe they just train them a certain way that makes a young sailor remember them.

 

And their votes as well.

 

Haha..... My Dad taught me right. I can do basic home repair - light carpentry, plumbing, electrical. I can change a motor in a pre-electronic car, change tires, cook a meal from scratch, dress out game, run a trotline, fish with pole, seine net and cast net, hunt anything from squirrel to deer. Not quite a country boy, but I can survive.
I can set up a desktop computer, and do simple repairs. But these funky "social media" sites leave me baffled and refusing to subject myself to them. I just have no use for them.
