A mine vehicle on the M-1 Abrams platform. The front apparatus digs up mines, they explode away from the vehicle. It can shoot an explosive line a good 100 yards or more to clear a lane too. It basically makes a clear road that vehicles behind it can use safely. It smashes walls and stuff down real well too. There are youtube videos of it in action.

Bullet placement is critical with something that small. I once worked for a guy who had gotten in a scuffle in a bar, and didn't realize he had been shot in the abdomen until he got home and found a wet spot on his belly. It took the doctors some time to patch the holes in his intestines, and time in the hospital to get rid of all the infections, but as far as stopping anything with that wound? Didn't even notice when it happened

I was using an old phone book to do some penetration testing of antique black powder pocket pistol loads. It was clear why .30 Rimfire has obsolete for 100 years. It wouldn't penetrate more than an inch of dry phone book. Modern .22 Short, for comparison, would breeze through 2+" and continue to make an impressive crater in the ground. With it's 1045FPS velocity vs the .25 ACP at 1029FPS for the hottest loading I could find, I'd expect similar results. I wouldn't feel comfortable with either against a sizeable bad guy.

You can't even press the little Colt hard against the intended target without shoving it back out of battery. At least with a tip up barrel like the Beretta you can empty the magazine at contact range without causing a jam. I tested this and found you had on the far side of the target several times before the mag was empty. It could get messy on a wet target, but it'd be effective.
