I see somebody wearing their pants like that, I just wanna set my mastiff on them, just to see them try and run with those pants round their knees...

 

More than 20 years ago I happened to pull into a right turn lane with my trailer behind the Jeep. One of these baggy pants gentlemen was wandering along in the lane holding his pants up with one hand. He grudgingly moved over just enough to clear my mirror, not realizing until it was almost too late that the trailer was considerably wider than the Jeep. He had to do a little sprint to get clear of some bushes, and swinging both arms as he ran, he forgot all about his trousers. He stumbled and crashed just past the last bush and rolled safely off in the grass. I've always wondered if that day changed his mind about how cool his baggy pants were.

 

I ran a 5K with a girl that ran on her toes like that the whole way. She beat me across the finish line. I could never quite pass her.

 

Before shoes were in popular use, folks walked on their toes most of the time.

It was like watching a physics experiment.
I couldn't decide if she was defying gravity or if her shoes has some sort of extra spring in them.

She never set a heel on the ground. Bounced on her toes the whole 5K, with a blonde pony tail stuck out the back of her baseball cap that was swinging around like a propeller. I thought she must be a gymnast or dancer.

 

That is why I wear minimal shoes or toe shoes to run.
