Lordy, Godzilla....the individuals in the 1969 promo pic....are actors, playing the parts of cool fictional characters in a movie....they do not represent the state of 'manhood' in 1969, any more than two scooter riders represent the state of manhood in 2019.

I make no assumtions about the gender identity of the helmeted scooter riders....nor is it necessary.

Edit: I'm not sure what ride you're inviting me to take with you, Godzilla, but I be wearing helmet, gauntlets and heavy leathers...coming off a two wheeled conveyance at speed is no fun. I know from personal experience.

 

I notice you cleverly avoided the use of the word "is" what has had no definition since Clinton's second term.

 

I'm not sure that Godzilla's expressing his remark as "How dare you assume they is men!" would be any improvement, 3M...there is simply no excuse for grammatically incorrect usage, even by the politically incorrect about the politically correct.
