When you’re growing up in farming country...

 

I grew up and went to school in a big city ,, I was raised in the country , on the farm at Grandpa's house . I remember being about 8-10 yrs old , grandpa had to move the cows , about 50 or so of them , about a 1/4 mile up the road to the other field . Gramps gave me a switch , one about the same size I had to fetch for myself when I screwed up , Gramps put me at the corner of the road , and said make them cows go up this way ,, nothing like being about 10 yrs old , holding a wet noodle , and staring down a 1000 lb bull , and making him go somewhere he's not sure he want's to go . Little bully boy Johnny didn't look so mean the next school year . I would never give up those experiences for nothing in this world .

 

The unemployment rate in Texas is 3.4%. If you live here and don’t have a job, you don’t want one.

 

Long as democrats are giving money away just to vote , why work ?
