The attention to the lighting and detail is worth the look

 

Kinser, Foster, Lester, Hansen and Schwab all had buildings like that up until the mid 80s when the newer hotel style barracks popped up. The quantity of buildings and the landscape looks like the view from the motor pool at Camp Foster, looking up the hill with Camp Butler at the left. The ball field is right. It's been a long time. I'd likely be disappointed if I vacationed there, although my last apartment in Urasoe City is still there when I navigate around on Google Earth.

 

We didn't have external stairwells in the center, nor the extra half-story on top.

 

I think you're seeing the buildings to the rear as they go up the hill. Two story open squad bays, with ledges outside the windows to sneak past the MP's on. I remember the exit stair doors getting ripped off during a typhoon. The wind sucked all the water out of the second floor.
