Now I certainly don’t need accolades but try and remember guys like this(SIL) out during this time of year. Yes they are getting paid good money but so are police, fire, and all other responders. BTW most of these guys like booze, food, and cute girls in all different orders. Just a thumbs up is cool too.

It's not being politically correct, it's being cautious, possibly sensitive and aware that what you say can have negative repercussions. Not being a douche canoe isn't necessarily the same as being PC. Just sayin'.

So I do see the fire , Medical , Hydro ,tree trucks BUT COPS ARE not in VIEW ,, Pure shame up here , I would suspect to see them in intersections without power to control the lights (not working) . BUT NO , so highways are bumber to bumper because of these slack assholes ..I haven't seen a cop car in 5 days here , but many a first real respondent (I'm one but no lights ) Sally Ann & check your folk !

This is all around up here. I lost 40 trees of a few thousand , so not bad for me.
No damage , just alot of firewood !!
Today is a quite one(Xmas day) so no Chainsaws , come tomorrow afternoon , chippers and saws !!
This is at least 100 miles long on the island
Im think by New Years most should be powered back up .from the Gents. ONE thing is to offer Coffee , Tea , Hot chocolate and some buns treats. This always helped when I was ground man to lineman (decades ago). It shows the guys that were appreciated in crappy work & weather
