Disagree.....This is definitely not a PC thread so why make it into one?

 

I agree with not turning it into a skin thread, but the COC's say "now and then" and this thread has a disclaimer in the title, so it's covered.

 

RH - I get what your saying. I'm a guy and like most guys we check things out, save if needed and move on to the next post forgetting what we saw before, thus the need to save interesting things. This is fallout from another thread in The Inferno and is typical for sites that are mostly male.

 

RH - When you or I were 12 YO it was much easier to keep kids away from this. I remember when I was 10 or 11 YO, stealing a Playboy magazine from Safeway so I could have a look. What any kid today sees on the internet if nothing compared to what is posted here.

I vote for all posts from #2030 until this discussion ends to be deleted when finished!

Perhaps the girls and guns thread is a better place.

 

I don't see RH's concerns as an issue of political correctness. I see it as a matter of the site being friendly to both genders, not merely being a boys frat-house decorated with soft porn wall paper and smutty images. I'm no prude, and appreciate the beauty of the human form as much as most, but a collection of tits and bums pics doesn't add much to the value of the site IMHO.

I sometimes cop a little good natured flak when I post pictures of women and girls that don't conform to the idealised imagery of virtually naked women posing sexually provocatively with guns as shown in "The Inferno". I make no apologies for that. Real women who own and actually use guns, are all shapes, sizes and ages...some may be plain looking, some may have some physical disability or deformity, some may be carrying a little bit of extra padding; it is not political correctness to portray the diversity of female gun owners and gun users as they actually are. I would think that few female members of, and visitors to this site would readily identify with some of the scantily clad bimbos sometimes displayed at SM....perhaps masculine, scantily clad gay men posing provocatively would be more acceptable to the men here who like seeing guns and virtually naked flesh? I am sure that could be organised.



There is much to be said for promoting prepping and survival to the widest possible audience, And I think SM does a pretty good job of doing that...However, I am doubtful that salacious imagery contributes much to that mission.

 

An interesting pro-gun poster....Surely the NRA would support the gay community arming themselves???
