More Covid Cases in the county

Recently I went to a local lumber yard to purchase products to rebuild the floor of utility trailer. Just a simple piece of plywood for the floor of the 4x8 trailer.
Except the 4x8 is an out side measurement, so a bit of trim by an employee and we were gone. A new floor of 3/4 inch treated plywood is not too much to ask after the old floor, installed by me 40 years ago, made of treated pine finally became unsafe.
Then the report yesterday of an employee had CCP Virus!

Not to worry I was masked and he was not.

No wonder Texas has an increase of cases.

Too many; tough guys who believe at 20 that the are invincible, half our recent case were of 20-29 year old male and female residents in a rural community.

The country’s top infectious disease expert said that more than a dozen states, including Texas, Florida and Arizona, were experiencing a “disturbing surge” of new coronavirus cases. In testimony to Congress, Dr. Anthony Fauci noted that while the country was still in its first wave of contagion, the latest cases were a result of community transmission — not increased testing — as President Trump has said. Fauci added that he and other health officials will be picking up the pace of testing.

• On average 3,200 Texans are being hospitalized each day — double the rate in mid-May.
• With an average of 470 new daily cases, Utah health officials warn a "complete shutdown" could be the only way to contain the spread.
• The U.S. accounts for more than a quarter of global cases, which now top 9 million.

 

If a the person has the virus and isn't wearing a mask and you are, it does almost nothing.

 

Perhaps some of the surge may be the resistance of some to the notion that wearing a face mask as PPE is contrary to god's will...

Remember context. I dont think she is saying half of all positive tests everywhere are false positives. I believe she is saying places with very low instances of china virus, like say where a few out of a thousand really are positive, you are likely to having at least that number of false positives.
Places like new jersey where say 10% or more of the tests come back positive, half of those are not false positives. Maybe 0.1% of those are false positive.
