After you build the first one, you will be an expert. Especially so if you build an 80%'er. There really isn't too much to mess up; the barrel can only go in one way. The fire control parts will only work if they are assembled in the proper way. The hardest part is getting some of the smaller roll pins in place- like the bolt release hinge, and the front takedown pin capture pin. After that, it's smooth sailing. It is much easier to assemble if you have the right specialty tools. I would suggest that you look up on ARFcom the Marine M-16 manual. I believe it is still a free download, and is the best manual for the assembly of an AR-15 I've seen. You just have to ignore the slight differences in the fire control group (you won't have an auto sear, and you have one less pin) and it is intuitive. You will learn a lot and have fun- I guarantee it!
