I'M Finally Taking a Vacation

    Unless I am driving a vehicle, If anyone asks for ID, I give them my US Passport… Simply because It only relates the following information…
    My Birthday
    The State I was born in
    My full name
    The date it was issued
    The date it expires

    No State of Residence
    No address
    No physical data at all
    and State and local LEOs do not have access to the Passport Database at the US State Dept…

    I did a lot of flying away to California and Illinois and back home to Texas last year with my DL.

    But as of this year you will need a Star ID/Drivers License to fly domestically. I'm not sure about trains or bus travel, but you can still drive without any special ID requirements.

    Nope, that requirement was pushed back to May 7, 2025.

    Seems that they pushed it back again, they have been trying to get it in place for 20 years!

    Seems like a burden on the poor in this country to need additional ID to travel within out own borders. Not a legal expert, but I would think requiring this would be unconstitutional.
