This is a test on the East Coast gun owners. It flew in Commifornia, just gotta make it fly on this side. The dangerous part will be the snowball effect if it actually stands, which I think it will not. It is such an "in your face" piece of legislation that it could only be a test of the waters. Rattle the cages and see who barks kind of thing....
could get REAL interesting on the county side of things in the state - there are counties with both the State's Attorney and Sheriff refusing on Constitutional basis - some with only one side - a few like Cook County where both are devil worshippers ..... The Prick is having a fit at the rebellion - whether he's actually stupid enough to try something is the question - ????? the counties divided would really only have a problem with the states attorney pressing the charges - a sheriff could go on a door kicking bend and land up facing charges himself >>> the law could become a political tussle within a county more than anything .....

Illinois loses appeal over gun control law, leaving restraining order in effect "The state of Illinois lost an appeal on Tuesday after a lower court judge issued a restraining order on a newly enacted ban on some semiautomatic rifles as well as high-capacity magazines. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the gun control law on Jan. 10, which bans the sale and distribution of assault weapons, high capacity magazines, and switches, which went into effect immediately after he approved it. Effingham County Judge Joshua Morrison issued a temporary restraining order against the law on Jan. 24, preventing it from being enforced. ..." More at link
