@Hanzo! Where can I find the blue ice cream bananas? They are on my wishlist. There was a guy in Kurtistown who said he was selling the plants a few years ago, but I wasn't able to coordinate a meeting. I think that my ice cream bean tree might start producing this year. I'm super excited! I haven't had it yet.
She has good taste! Frozen bananas are better than ice cream! I'm currently on Day# 13 of Keto so I won't be able to have them for awhile though.
Sadly, I don't know. Wife buys the ice cream bananas from time to time. Just the bananas. And those aren't blue. Look like baby apple bananas.
@Alanaana, what kind of grass do you have. We are still new here and would like to get some grass grown for the dogs to run and play on.
@Hanzo It's okay, I treat my searches like treasure hunts so I'll continue to be on the lookout for the ice cream bananas. Right now we just have the broadleaf grass which I don't think is the best and I'm always trying to pull it out (it takes over fast) and build planters instead. If I had dogs too I would definitely want to put in some nice grass for them. At the moment I just have cats. I've heard good things about Bermuda grass or Zenith Zoysia. I know that a lot of people here like to replace their lawns with perennial peanut as a ground cover, but I don't know how nice that would be for the dogs. I'll message the nice people at Rozett's Nursery and ask them. They are always answering my questions and I'll let you know what I find out!
Aloha @Hanzo! The nursery got back to me and they recommended centipede grass which was the 3rd option I was thinking of. "Centipede grass is a good one that is commonly used in this area. Garden Exchange in hilo sells grass seed and could give you more info on other options." I hope this helps!
