This and the amount of trade they have with the USA and the West is what is keeping them out of Taiwan, in my opinion. They will continue to wait for the opportune moment and continue to enlarge and strengthen their military forces until that time. I also think they are trying to ensure they have leverage on the Western countries as much leverage as the West has on them with trade and etc. Taking Taiwan will have major consequences for them so they need to counter each and every one of them which they will. One thing is absolutely certain China does not want sanctions against them.

 

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to believe it also, after the way 2020 election turned out. People don't want to have to work for anything. They want it all handed to them, so they look to the government.

Problem is, the government's broke.

 

I'd say those are normal weapons.
