I've got pine straw, pin oak, and prairie crab apple.
Between the three they make up the ideal stabbing, sliding and rolling gutter threats.

This lady has oaks and pines as well. Because the gutter guards lay flat across the gutter , I'm curios to see how the leaves and needles stay on the gutters . It's got to be better than piling up in the gutter. I'm thinking I can make her an extendable handle and put a scuz brush or something on th end and she could just sweep off the top of the gutters . Her gutters aren't that tall.

We've none in the front as have a long covered porch but do have gutters in the back. I had they put on to basically keep water away from the house and because whenever I went out onto the deck I would get soaked with water coming off the roof. I did have to clean them recently as lots of trees here but it wasn't too bad and only done once in about 5 years.

Gutters. Bought my house in 1997 and got them to knock a bunch off because the crawlspace was a mudhole. Convinced the seller there was likely an expensive solution needed. Put on gutters before I finished moving in and in a months time the crawlspace was dry. It cost $800 in 1997 dollars but was worth every penny.

Same here - when I was in college, I could make a bunch of money cleaning older folks' windows on a Saturday morning and be done by noon. During the week, I'd run home after class, change into shorts and clean houses for new construction, my roommate was a loan officer at a bank, she'd run home, change into dress clothes and make half what I was making while listening to my boom box and cleaning!
