What is the cook time in a dutch oven stacked like that... ? Obviously dependent on what you are cooking I know.... I have never tried it.........
Right clicked and saved While I haven't done much in a while, I love the dutch ovens. Most all of my cooking with them has been camping with my girls or during Elk camps. I've mainly used coals from the campfires.
I haven't used a dutch oven since Boy Scouts. Don't have one at this time. I'll be watching garage sales for one. Though.
Monkeys are still in steak mode. Since we have exercise machines in the patio now, the monkeys went to town on them and did their gymnastics stuff of the grass. So when I asked what they wanted for dinner, I got, "STEAK!" We just went out for steak. So I grilled. Invited my neighbor over and my wife's running buddy and family. So I bought three times as much steak and sausages as I usually get for just us. And a bunch of corn. My neighbor just came by himself without the family because they weren't home yet and my wife's trail running buddy couldn't because the boss, er, wife had plans. So we have soooo much steak left over. Even after my neighbor ate and I packed some for him to take home for his wife. The Japanese arabiki sausages that I smoked and the corn were wiped out though. My neighbor is such a bad influence. He is always drinking and brought over beer. That Sapporo beer was pretty good though. And of course, a monkey photobomb.
We picked up a New BBQ and all the accessories for our sons house warming gift. Of course we had to fire it up and break it in with some chicken and burgers. We used some cherry and apple wood to give it a tasty smoke.
Thank you, Hanzo!!! He really was enjoying himself. He did say I gave him too many veggies for one Yoshi grill. Next time we will use both of them. Marinated veggies falling on the coals....
