The Indians MIGHT have won IF they had wiped-out every early attempt by the Europeans to settle this continent, and because many of the first attempts were conducted on a shoestring, they might have been successful...for a while. However, eventually the technologically advanced civilizations of Europe would have returned and the result would have been the same. The same thing has happened to every tribal group(s) that have come into contact with an advanced organized civilization. It didn't matter if that civilization was Egyptian, Mesopotamia, Indian, Chinese, Greek, Roman, Islamic, Charlemagne, Mayan, Aztec, Incan, Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, Dutch, American, Russian, etc.. it all ended the same for the more primitive peoples.
