Earthquakes Today

I am about 37 miles from the coast.
My elevation is about 1400 feet and there is a mountain range between.
I have boats and gear to implement in such an event, and if it did occur boats are necessary it would wash me to the mountain range to the east not far away. Having watched the recent tsunamis I can see that it is best to float with the flow rather than resist it, in this event. Hopefully I can navigate back on ebb tide .

 

7.9 in Indonesia just went off.

 

Rattled Northern Aus !

 

Biggest I ever was in was near by to a 7.0 in Japan.
Had abut a 6 then a few weeks later the 7.0, big difference there. I'm pretty sure most building wouldn't survive a near surface 7.6 with out any damage.

 

Had a 7.2 here in the backyard - MatSu valley.

Quite shallow and rocked everything. Plenty of homes ruined..

 

Whether it's the traffic, the kale smoothies, or the ever-elusive parking spots, the left coast always seems to provide an abundance of reasons to reconsider.

 

Been in that valley before, Wave at the sleeping lady for me!

 

Maybe the left coast can slide into the ocean and take greusone newsome with it.

 

Iceland is cooking off, maybe another flight stopping volcano.

 

Well we did have some interesting solar weather hit us lately… then again the idiots in charge want us all to believe its from man made climate change…

 

Hey there was an earthquake today in IL. The guy on the news said new madrid fault but I didn’t think the new madrid fault came up that high.

3.6 earthquake reported in Putnam County, Illinois, US Geological Survey says

 

I see the potential for a lot of damage due to brick-and-mortar homes in that area.
The result of a quake in Whitter California most of not all brick and mortar were taken down.
3.6 is normally not that severe however due to the construction materials and methods it can be very serious.
I think that we are in for several severe earth quakes in the near future.
