    You are absolutely right. That's why I hate bringing the subject up. You always get responses like that. There's billions of barrels of oil under the ocean and under the ice and over there and probably on the moon as well.
    Peak oil is not about running out of oil. It is about running out of cheap oil.
    Now I'm waiting for the "ambiotic oil response. Oil replenishes itself naturally. It can't ever run out"

    Yeahh there's plenty of oil, that's not the issue. Its not like magic when Sleepy Joe went in the oil disappeared. This is intentional. That is the point. They are doing this to us with the intentions of killing off as many as they can. I guess its a good thing because tough times make tough men but the irony is, the weak men are the ones asking for it. Gonna learn the hard way not to poke the bear.

    We can send things back to the Victorian era late 1800s and that would be cool with me. The Steam punk age may actually come to exist yet...

    I'm curious what the prevailing wisdom was when William D'Arcy discovered oil in the Middle East in the early 1900s. I'm sure that since the bulk of the world's oil was produced here in the US at that time that many would have thought that it was economically infeasible to extract it for use here. Industry figured out a way to truly bring the cost down, and exploit the resource wherever it was found.

    The biggest profit/use was actually Rockefeller Medicine. He figured out that he could make oil based pharmaceuticals... but before he could make people take toxic medicine he had to get rid of all the existing doctors. Yeah he did that. To this day people think that drugs from the street are bad and drugs from the doc are good.

    Its a very interesting story. They first got the idea from the Bible. When it said that Noah used pitch to seal and waterproof the ark. Pitch is a thick gooey oil.
    It was the British who first started drilling in Iraq and Iran. There is a letter where a BP geologist looked at Saudi Arabia and wrote back to home office saying there was no oil there. Let the Yanks waste thier money.
    It was very expensive to operate that far from the US. So 4 of the big oil companies, Texaco, Chevron, Exxon, Mobil got together and formed a joint venture, the Arabian American Company (ARAMCO)
    Thier original contract with King Saud was for every oil well they drilled for themselves they would drill a water well for the kingdom. Talk about art of the deal.

    How about the oil and nautral gas off the east coast of the US. Its there but the gov won’t sell leases or permits.

    NY has tremendous amounts of natural gas but of course the demoRAT controlled state won't let any drilling. Natural gas shortage they should be the last to get any.
