I never found DE to work. I did experiments on many different types of insects and brands of DE. I never saw one dead bug.
DE does work, it's just very slow. It may take days/weeks to kill a bug but it can. I've got some DE that is used for mixing in with livestock feed to help clean the internal bugs. I also spread DE around our cabin to help keep creepy crawlies down to a minimum. Well at least we did last year, haven't done it so much this year and we've noticed more spiders making their webs inside the cabin. Could be coincidental, may not be. Also had more ticks this year around the yard, but thankfully the chiggers have been reduced.
De is slow acting and has to be applied out doors after every rain. And 8n the house every 10 to 14 days
DE works great on ridding wasp/yellow jacket nests in walls and attics. Mixed with chrysanthemum dead in 24 hrs. Whole wall nest of them. Also use red feather brand for parasite treatment on man and all beasts (dog, cat, chickens, turkeys, goats). Straight DE around foundation and green house floor to keep insects at bay. Hell even dust some of the garden veg with it. Love the stuff
