Could the last days of the Marine Corps be here?

The Navy is the only branch of service required by the constitution. The founders made it clear that funding for a standing army was to cease after two years. This is why we vote every two years for military funding. But that has been twisted from what the Constitution states. We are to maintain a navy and raise an army when needed. This move to disband the Marines is the exact opposite of what the founders intent was.
