For me, I came back to the USA because I still believed in her. I wanted to be a citizen again where I could speak my mind, defend myself and family, and have a say in how I was governed without fear of retribution.

But, they have been threating most of these, possibly to keep us focused on them, while they moved forward on the one thing that would give them the keys to everything - stealing the vote. They have done it and got away with it. And, we are totally and completely screwed from here on out. It truly is 'game over' and we lost.

Lenin and all the other despots in history would be proud as they have taken over the most powerful nation in the world without a shot being fired, all from inside. Brilliant!

Hell, if I was in my right mind, I would become a Democrat, join the winning side, except the Democrats don't get it yet that they have been used and screwed also...not yet but they will soon, when it is too late.

 

Gotta love black and white thinking....it's been grist for the fear monger's mill for millennia.

Political and economic liberty, in the real world exist on a spectrum, rather than two antithetical boxes.

 

The same may be said of Republicans, though I think that MAGA cultists will probably take a little longer to realise that they are being screwed by the 'man' they have given their uncritical support...more fool them.

 

Chelle would make an awesome democrat, he ticks all the boxes required to be one! Problem is, how does one give themselves over so blindly to one side, and even more telling, how does one remain a patriot!

I'm not a "member" of any party, none can speak for me in my voice, I choose to be my own council on what is what, so my support of any one politico is based on how that person best represents my ideals! And while most fall far short of my expectations, at least they will likely do the least damage!

I have seen the world outside these shores, it's not a pretty place, even those places who seem enlightened, they have simply managed to do a good job of covering all the ugly, Australia included! We have something unique here, something that makes all others very envious of us, even hate us because of it, and I laugh at them all because I know exactly what it is and why we have it and they do not, and I also tell them to fuck off and go cry them selves to sleep with their moral superiority, because in the morning, I still live in the greatest country on this good earth!

Until those muthafuckas stole it from me, but that's ok, because I know exactly who they are now, and my memory is long, my sword is sharp, and my eyes keen! There is no lust for blood, but when the time comes, I will not be the one lying in a puddle of my own making staring into the cold blue eyes of a Patriot!

I am NOT a republican... I am an independent if I'm anything... with the latest antic's of both political parties...

not sure I care for either... SEEMS like both are highly compromised...

Chelly loves to troll people and delights when they rise to his baits. You aren't the only victim he's found on SM by poking with sticks. He just reads and watches until he sees something to argue over.

 

@chelloveck is here to remind us that there are 3 sides to the coin. Heads, tails and the other side.
We should and need to listen to all sides of an argument/position.
You don't have to agree with the other side, but you'll be better off if you can understand what they see/feel, you can see what their triggers are, what their weaknesses are, where there strength is. That way you can win (or at least not lose).

If you surround yourself with people just like yourself, all you hear is what you wish to hear and be true.
Kind of a narrow view of the world .. and you will get blindsided.

Watching my Korean war vet father, for the very 1st time ever, bawl his eyes out with pride, and fear... the day I signed up for Selective Service... made me realize that war is something one cannot understand unless they've experienced it and that it scars one permanently.
