Colorado Man Faces Jail Time After Shooting Bear Cubs

My whole point is that the situation was avoidable to begin with. If I'm out hiking and a bear or mountain lion come after me or my family I'd hope to not be facing felony charges. Even though I can't say exactly what was going through his mind in evergreen, I find it hard to believe he was protecting anything but a desire not to have to clean up after the bears, when they were done eating the trash he didn't secure. It's a tough question, but it seems we can find a way not to destroy every "dangerous" animal on the planet. I think he could have stepped up his game a little.
