Did you heat your veggie oil tank? The dirt in waste motor oil can clog the injectors. How much did you filter the waste oil?

 

Yes, I heated the tank though it really was not necessary in the summer and I filtered the both oils to 5 microns. I have read about other people having success with the waste motor oil. I think they filtered it after thinning and let it settle. Waste oil from Chinese restaurants worked best.

 

Don't know how fast our separator ran. It had a 1700 rpm motor on it but you had to use the hand crank too get it up to speed. I also don't know what you call the assembly with the cones in it but it spun really FAST. It was fascinating to watch whole milk run in and skim milk come out the lower spout and HEAVY cream come out the upper spout. We had Brown Swiss and Guernseys. By the way I'm talking about a small batch separator, about five gallons at a time.

 

May want to look it a small centrifuge to spin the impurities out of that used motor oil.
