Today, Wifee fed me breakfast. After my first two classes, had a piece of banana pie one of the students brought. Today was a beautiful day. Then went to lunch. Tried to eat light, but the larb (Thai beef salad) was pretty big. Started my afternoon hydration. Three hours of qigong and Taiji felt like hot yoga. Sweat EVERYWHERE. ;p
Hah! Myself, I was climbing Mt Fuji and in need of some instant energy. Glomed onto a like "sweet roll" even had the puncture hole for the filling I thought I was about to enjoy. I just bought an extra cup of tea and pushed it all down. Good energy, just took longer.
Made eggs for the family. Everyone got theirs made to order. Kale omelette for da wifee. Bleh Cheese omelette for me. Monkeys were done with theirs already.
One of my old students asked me to fill in and teach her class today. She is frolicking in the water in Kona. How rude, huh? So of course, I teach her class for her. I see this in the sink at the community center and think... ... You guys have dirty minds. This is the other side. Then I had fried chicken before going to work.
Monkeys love Italian cream soda. This was a combo... Lychee blackberry. Ok, but not mixing tastes better.
In between classes, I had broiled corvina and veggies and a bunch of green tea. During the afternoon class, I cut it short. We only did about an hour of the scheduled two. Dark angry clouds were moving our way and then we had lots of rolling thunder. The students were really happy NOT to do the sword today! I timed it perfectly. Right after I cancelled class, large raindrops started coming down.
Fueling up for tai chi... Steel cut oats, ancient blend quinoa, cinnamon, banana, coconut oil, peanut butter and ohia lehua honey. Lunch... Pork and lemon grass chicken bun (cold noodles) with @Bear.
Started off with Anahola granola and Kauai coffee. Had a really full day. Four classes today. And in extreme conditions. And my first time going through a security screen to teach tai chi. One of my students in the last class was really nice. She knew I was plowing through the four classes back to back. So she brought me bananas. Had a late lunch. And dessert And dessert dessert
Since I took on another class, Tuesdays have been crazy. Tai chi from 9am until 3:30 pm straight. My students have been great making sure I don't go hungry. Bananas last week. Avocado and mango this week. To get through the long day, after breakfast, I had to have the eye of the dragon.
One of my students made fresh mochi. She brought to share with the class and a box for me to take home. Mahalo Sandy. Delicious! Glad I got to meet @Bear for pho and to share some mochi. Always a good time, buddy! Was a little low energy after staying up late with Mrs. Hanzo. So before soccer, had to have the best sports drink ever made.
