I'm rebuilding my 38 spl ammo hord. Sold all the rando 38spl ammo, FMJs, HPs, plus peas, reg 38spl, everything 110 to 158gr. Just a mixed cluster phuck. Most of it had price tags still on the boxes, other ammo that didnt I have a pretty good idea what it cost, paid around $150 for it all. Cleared about $350 on 400 rounds. Reload 500 rounds in magtech brass. Bring back as 200-250 rounds of 110gr hollow soft point loaded in my signature 38spl+p+ load and the remainder as 125gr cast lead loaded to plus pee. Bought the once fired magtech brass last night for $40 shipped to my door. Bought 500 cast lead 125gr for $42 last night (ass is a little sore after that one but oh well) and bought the 1,000 pack of blemish 110gr Remington HSP bullets last year for like 5 cents each. So for like $100 I get 500 rounds in 2 different loadings.
You can't import the ammo but it appears the bullets can still be imported or smuggled in if they're available.
Gota bunch of old school 44mag boxes off ebay for about $2 each. Now my large collection of ziplock 44mag ammo can have a proper home. They're all dirty reloads I cleaned them off with the sizer die and loaded them to "safe in super Redhawk" level. I think that's something to the tune of a 180gr xtp over about 30gr of H110 and a non magnum primer. The fire ball out of a 7.5 inch gun is epic.
Ballistic products dot com took like 3 days to ship my shit. Guess they're busy too. I have sold at least 500 12 gauge buckshot shells, have nearly 400 more listed, most are 12 gauge. Sold a few hundred slugs, so yeah I'm kind of cleaned out. Moving forward I'm going to load up some 8 pellet 00 and 000buck, number 1 buck, number 4 buck, T and BB in red AA shells, (I have a trash bag with like 900 shells in it) pattern them change the loading go up and down with the charge, try 2 or 3 powders and see what patterns best in my gunz load lots of what patterns best.
Ah ha, I figured it out. About the only repeating shot guns left in stock and aren't going for stupid amounts all are 410s. That's why the 410 buckshot and self defense is going for stupid amounts. The only cheapies in 12 I can find are single shot. Even the doubles are going stupid high.
Walmart 24 miles south of me had two box’s .30-30,two box .30-06 and four .270. There were a few box’s shotgun no. 6,no.71/2,no buckshot or slugs. No.22lr. The pawn shop had one box .44mag@$57.95 box,no buck or slug and very little .22. Looks like another week and 9mm will be pushing $1.00 rd,stupid. It’s going to be a long time before ammo is in good supply,if ever.
heard walmart is pullin ammo n guns off the racks... so to speak... cause they fear looting n such will put weapons in the wrong hands...
Real gun shops take the guns and lock them in real gun safes at night. You know so some flunky can't juat crash a car through the store and steal a ton of guns.
