You would think "keep to the right" is universal here in the states. Well, 't'ain't. My drug store enters on the left, ditto on exit. Whacked, sez me. (And there's no accounting for the movement in grocery store aisles. Yeesh, it's a wonder they are allowed to drive.)
Some of us go in through the out door intentionally... now. It took me years to realize that there was a correct side to walk on in the grocery store. I always took the shortest path and everybody got out of my way. Nowadays it's called bullying. I just had places to be and was taking the shortest path. Cheers!
Mom bought the extract, at sears and she washed/sterilized all the coke bottles we could find , dad had a bottle capper and we bought new caps . We mixed the water, sugar, brewers yeast, and root beer extract, in the 5 gallon crock, and we took turns filling the bottles and capping them . Dad hid them all in the shop for about 2-3 weeks, and would bring out a few at a time to put in the fridge for us to share, this was a once a month family project I loved as a kid. I miss those days .
I think this is how folks who don't own trucks have a tailgate party. (note truck bed on the ground.)
