The worst job I ever had was a bartender.
When I got out of the Corps ,, a gal I knew before going in the Corps ,, was dating a guy that had a lease on a bar ,, and all the people he had running the place was ripping him off, she talked me into running the joint , because I was honest . It was a pretty well established, redneck , biker bar ,,, don't get me wrong,, I'm not against rednecks or bikers ,,, 'cause I are both ,,, ,,,,, Well , one Saturday night ,, we've got a full house ,, and around 11 pm ,, about 6-8 cops come thru the door ,, and ask me where the girl is ,, I said what girl ? 1 cop said " we got a call saying that a girl was being raped in the bar " ,,, WTF you talking about ??
Turned out ,, one of the local bar ho's ,, was spread out around the corner on a couch at a pool table,, and was taking all comers ,, no pun intended ,,,,
It didn't take me long to figure out that ,, I am not good at dealing with drunks , when I'm sober , and it's against the law to be drunk on duty .
That place ,,, was an actual " dive " .
You could have a good time ,, but just be ready for just about anything .
It was definitely not a long term job .
