It would seem to me that in this place, anyone who doesn't sing unquestioningly and without deviation from the MAGA hymn book, extolling the virtues of Donald J tRump and his slavish MAGA base of worshippers, is assumed to be...gasp...a communist! Nothing could be further from the truth in my case:

I have no affection for, nor commitment to left wing communism, nor right wing fascism...both totalitarian extreme ends of the political spectrum are a blight upon humanity and every endeavour should be exercised such that neither ideologies should have political oxygen to breathe. My grandfather on my father's side of my family died in a soviet gulag after some decades as a gulag zek, following WW2; and my childrens' great grandfather on their mother's side died in Auschwitz after some years of incarceration, and some couple of months before liberation at the end of WW2. My father, his mother and sister lived in Germany after the Molotov - Ribbentrop pact took effect, they survived the bombing of Dresden in 1945...his beloved grandmother did not. They escaped from the Eastern Zone in the early months of the allied occupation with their lives, and virtually nothing else. I have served over 23 years as an officer in the Australian Defence Force, some of which were in the same infantry battalion as my father who served as a warrant officer class 2, and my younger brother who was a lance corporal at the time. We were each prepared to put our lives on the line in the defence of our country if required, regardless of the political ideology of any aggressor that would threaten our nation. So no, am not a communist.

I find it perverse that Donald J Trump has developed comfortable relationships with Russia's 'Vlad the Invader', North Korea's Kim Jong Un, and the PRC's Ji Xinping as well as other authoritarian antidemocratic autocrats. https://www.npr.org/2017/05/02/526520042/6-strongmen-trumps-praised-and-the-conflicts-it-presents
Trump's boast about his relationships with 'dictators' is eye opening
https://www.news.com.au/finance/wor...e/news-story/437e4d48035ec77ace459f09e919ee98 yet his MAGA zombie cultist supporters are ok with that.

Labeling another, whose positions on a range of different topics one has no liking for as a communist, is what it is...simply a lazy, worthless ad hominem attack.

As much as I have issues with Trump, he beats hell out of the individual or individuals we now have running our country. From the outside, it gives the appearance that Trump had a friendship the leaders of enemy nations, but did he. Maybe it was more the fact that Trump was a wild card, not controlled by his party or any foreign nation.

You have to ask what it is that keeps the peace? Reduce it down to one individual facing a group. Take out the leader either intellectually or by force and the others leave you alone not wanting to be made a fool or get a beat down. Nations are no different. I don't believe they really knew what Trump would do, so they didn't want to take the risk. With Biden, that threat isn't there. He is not capable of negotiating anything and his cabinet appointees are just as inept.

We can all discuss this without the personal attacks and demonizing each other. Forget the youtube vids and memes and post your thoughts. If you cannot state your ideas in text, then move on to another thread.

Donald J tRump arraigned in the Stormy Daniels 'hush money' case. He gets processed like any other indicated(sic) perp, with perhaps the exception of a cuffed perp walk.

Donald is making history...criminal history, what a putz

The affirmative action Soros backed leftist lawyer Bragg has doneTrump a big favor by bringing this bogus lawsuit. IMO it has wakened many people out of their coma concerning what is happening intros county. Trump will play this nonsense to his advantage and I say good for him he had my vote and he will have it again.

And there is the problem...the 'true believers' just uncritically accepting the TRumpist MAGA propaganda. Hopefully, the jury will follow the evidence, weighing it against the elements of each charged offence.

In the mean time, tRump will continue to grift off his supporters like the parasite that he is. It is not as if his real estate business is very bullish at the moment judging by recent tax returns.

Biden my time here in the Untied States of Chiquita, watching this all play out. Anybody else notice that the hearings begin just prior to the Republican primary? I'm sure it's just a coincidence. The weak sauce charges won't stick (they don't even specify the exact crime that Trump was supposed to be covering up), but the show will go on through the next election cycle.

Anybody cheering this on has been had to the point of embarrassment. Go ahead and have your fun, but at the end of the day it will be Wile E. Coyote all over again.

This is so obviously easy to spot for what it is that even those in former Banana Republics are willing to say it like it is:

"Nayib Bukele, the president of El Salvador, slammed the indictment of former President Donald Trump, suggesting it would now be hypocritical for the U.S. to promote democracy with its foreign policy.

"Think what you want about former President Trump and the reasons he's being indicted," tweeted Bukele. "But just imagine if this happened in any other country, where a government arrested the main opposition candidate. The United States ability to use 'democracy' as foreign policy is gone."

We were never a democracy and it drives me nuts when people use it in reference to the USA we are a representative Republic but either way our reliability as a bastion of freedom for the world is over.

The US was never designed to be a pure democracy, and in fact to have been called a democrat would have been considered an insult by our Founders. My understanding is that a Representative Republic is a form of democracy that is designed to prevent the "tyranny of the majority" where 51% of a population can bully the remaining 49%. The Great Compromise in the US Constitution of allocating representation by both existence (2 Senators per state) and population (Number of representatives based on population) shows we are somewhere blended between the two. The checks and balances provided by the Judicial and Executive branches bends us back more towards a total republic.

I very much agree with you on the ignorance of most of our citizens about us being a republic.

Her response is "I would rather be a cum dumpster than under indictment".
She was trumps cum dumpster and now she pays him.
Stormy Daniels, probably the worst hooker of all time ends up wing her don I mean John over a million dollars.
She went from getting paid 130,000 dollars like 7 years ago to owing trump 300,000 a month ago, then a half mil, then about million, now the total appears to be around 1.3 million dollars. And it's probably going to go up from there.
This is what the trump indictment is based on.

    What is even going on.
Some of this will end up in a history book.

It will be up to the jury to determine the strength of those 'weak sauce' charges, and whether the prosecution has proven beyond a reasonable doubt all the elements of each individual charge. A jury is not the same as a Senate Impeachment Trial, where the political imperatives of the contesting parties count for more in conviction or acquittal, than an objective examination of the evidence presented (not withstanding a few voting defectors who didn't materially affect the outcome of tRump's two impeachment trials)

The LegalEagle podcast does quite a good job of parsing the legal issues that are presently biting tRump's big fat rump in Manhattan.

Goodness, oil pan, if you are going to quote Stormy daniels, at least quote her exact words:

I wonder how painfully simple minded some people are...but I will put it plainly....the Manhattan prosecution is a legal matter, and will be contested on the factual evidence. tRump's and Daniels's morality, or immorality as the case may be, are not relevant to the proceedings of the Manhattan court, though smearing Daniels, undoubtedly is important to right wing tRumpist pundits in the court of public opinion. In my view, provided that the seminal transactions are consensual, the donor and the receptacle are of equivalent moral worth...and in the case of tRump, not worth thinking about at all  *shudder*.

You are right about history: The tRump / Daniels tryst will undoubtedly be a salacious part of the history of the sTRUMPet's disgraceful downfall...not a highlight, but a bizarro porno part of the the tapestry. ;) The nonsense excuse for the alleged fraudulent deception was to save Monilia's embarrassment, is absurd on its face. A marriage certificate doesn't necessarily mean that a relationship is any less transactional than sowing one's seed with an 'adult entertainment' star. I'd be surprised if Melania didn't have a shrewd idea about Donald's lack of commitment to Christian morality, or his wedding vows before she married him, if it comes to that. Embarrassment is the price one may have to pay, and suck up, in exchange for a continuing berth among the wealthy and powerful elites of American society. [dunno]
A timeline of Donald Trump's three marriages, numerous rumored affairs, and sexual misconduct allegations When someone is suspected of having an affair with a future wife #2, before wife #1 is lawfully disposed of, Wife #3 oughtn't be utterly surprised that the pattern is like to continue. Genuine, repentance and rehabilitation are just not words in tRump's moral vocabulary or calculus.

Ignoring the jurisdictional conflict, statute of limitations being up and not stating an actual crime in the discovery, yeah they might have him this time.

I've known this for a long time. Way before 2020. Watching the TV too much you begin to see the patterns. You get to witness their very thoughts put on display like window dressing (disgusting is an understatement). The fact is, they want here in the US, EXACTLY what they have in Britain. I remember when the US pretended to not align with britain in the bush eras and I realized then it was all a farce and they were actually "in bed" together (literally no doubt). If you look at what britain has for a government, especially now, as compared to what exists here in the states (NOTHING-WAKE the f UP), you come to know they are doing everything they can to create a duplicate here. It's just that fng simple. So when you hear the, "they're not after me they're after you", you fng better believe it.
The fact is trump is unimportant and what happens to him even more so. What is on trial or "indicted" is the concept OF government itself. Wake the f up.
