What cracks me up the most is the msm saying that trump supporters will riot if he loses. Like they don’t understand that 90+% of riots are started by liberals and the vast majority of trump supporters and republicans are rule followers. The only thing I think that could make republicans riot is if trump won and then obvious cheating fake ballots over turn the election days later. At that point all bets would be off and who knows what would happen. Either way I stay hunkered down at home if people start acting crazy and protect my kids!

Oh they know exactly who starts the riots. They also know that their audience of sheep will believe whatever they say, so telling the truth comes in somewhere below cutting toenails on camera.

We bought a chest freezer a couple of months ago and it's pretty full, we'll top it up this coming week.
We have a pretty full pantry, but are still adding odds and ends.

Defense is on me and I'm the weakest link. Cancer kicked my butt and then some heart issues made me weaker. So there will be no runnin' and gunnin', hopefully a .308 at range will suffice if things go that way although we're pretty isolated.

Got plenty of arms and ammo, medical supplies and natural alternatives for when prescriptions run out if things go long term.

Brandi has been canning weekly and I think we'll be okay.

We plan on staying home and even now we only go to town, do what we need to do and beat feet. Come closer to the election we won't leave here at all.

I live about 40 miles outside of Chicago. I've been worried about the election and potential for violence. A very smart guy I knew at Navy believes there will be Civil War. He is plugged into FBI, Homeland Security folks and lots of corporate heads. He lives in the Carolinas. I have a cousin in Missouri who also believes Civil War is coming. I have a brother who lives locally and he believes that if Trump wins and "begins acting like a dictator" (whatever that means) then there will be a - Civil War and he will support it. The whole situation feels like a Christian Scientist with appendicitis.

I've been doing preps on steroids. Where before, I've had long term food storage and some Sawyer water filters, now I've got a Berkey, and Lifestraw products too. I've also started a canned food store, and put back beans and rice, etc. I've also added to the ammo stores and acquired a shotgun. Latest is I got some Baofeng radios, and am learing how to use them. Soon I'll be upgrading our oldest car, and buying a used late-model Ford F150 V8 5.0 for bugging out.

I figure if there's a massive power outage lasting more than a week, or a massive food shortage, or if violence somehow reaches where I live, then we will be bugging out to relatives in Missouri. I have a bunch of leave on the books, so it should be okay if not too long. I was planning to go "on vacation" in early November, but I have to go to two classes the first week. Rats!

In France, rioting (and strikes) seem to be the National pastime. Brits have their soccer hooligans, and so on across the Eurozone.

Those games have arrived here. There is one or two major differences beyond sheer size of the North American land mass.

As in many other places, it will mostly depend on which way the military (or what's left of it) swings.

Lets not forget, it happened before

And a bit of recent history
    Washington, DC, July 20, 2020
    By Rebecca Kheel
The Democratic-controlled House voted Monday to add limits to the Insurrection Act after President Trump threatened to invoke it to deploy active-duty troops against recent protests over racial injustice.

In a 215-190 vote, the House approved the Insurrection Act changes as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act.

The vote fell largely along party-lines, though 14 Democrats voted with Republicans against the amendment. One Republican, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (Wash.), voted for the amendment.

Last month, Trump threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act at the height of nationwide protests sparked by the death of George Floyd, saying he would deploy active-duty troops if governors did not “dominate” their streets.

The 1807 law creates an exception to the general prohibition on using the U.S. military to enforce domestic laws. It was last used by then-President George H.W. Bush at the request of California’s governor to quell the 1992 Rodney King riots.

Trump has not yet invoked the Insurrection Act, but Democrats have continued pushing changes to it after federal law enforcement cleared protesters from Lafayette Square outside the White House with force, Trump deployed thousands of National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C., and the administration ordered active-duty soldiers to deploy to outside D.C. to be ready to enter the city if ordered.

Monday’s amendment comes after the House Armed Services Committee rejected a similar amendment at the beginning of the month after several centrist or vulnerable Democrats voted against it.

The amendment approved Monday would require a president consult with Congress “in every possible instance” before invoking the Insurrection Act, as well as require the president and Defense secretary to make a certification to Congress that a state is unwilling or unable to suppress an insurrection in order to invoke the law. The certification would have to include “demonstrable” evidence that a state is unwilling or unable to act.

“Today, if the president of the United States chooses to use military force abroad the president would have to consult with Congress,” said Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas), the sponsor of the amendment. “Yet that same consultation is not required for use of military force on American soil.”

The amendment would also specify that troops deployed under the Insurrection Act are not allowed to participate in search, seizure, arrest or “other similar activity” unless they are “otherwise expressly authorized by law.”

Republicans argued the amendment would dangerously constrain troops and delay a president’s ability to respond to a riot.

“This is dangerous,” Rep. Trent Kelly (R-Miss.) said. “We’re having a knee-jerk reaction to what we think the president might do. Not what he did, but what we think he might do.”

    Source Law
The Insurrection Act of 1807 is a United States federal law (10 U.S.C. §§ 251255; prior to 2016, 10 U.S.C. §§ 331–335; amended 2006, 2007) that empowers the President of the United States to deploy U.S. military and federalized National Guard troops within the United States in particular circumstances, such as to suppress civil disorder, insurrection and rebellion.

The act provides a "statutory exception" to the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which limits the use of military personnel under federal command for law enforcement purposes within the United States.[1][2]

Before invoking the powers under the Act, 10 U.S.C. § 254 requires the President to first publish a proclamation ordering the insurgents to disperse. As part of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, these provisions are now codified as amended.

I've managed to flip one hardcore yankee Democrat to the Republican side. It wasn't all that hard, anybody that watches the debates and heard the continuing refusal to answer questions may have the same experience.

I knew there was hope when I was asked what kind of ID was needed to vote. When I said "None." I got "That's bullsh*t!" as a response.

I'm taking a few days off after the election. Riotsnear my area are guaranteed. There will either be celebratory violence, looting, and getting even or there will be pissed off commies who will express their displeasure by engaging in violence, looting, and getting even.

I'll have hoses set up for fire in advance, all outside lights will be on. Am also finally getting around to loading up some 64gr bonded Noslers as they make great "barrier blind" defensive rounds.

After the election results I'll be discretely positioned outside to watch my place well into the night. Reason is twofold. I know too many liberals (grew up with them) who know I don't I don't march in lockstep and I fly the US Flag and the Thin Blue Line 24x7. Not very likely, but likely enough I won't be able to sleep easy, so up I will stay. Same drill the following weekend. Suburban living at it's finest.

FOX is going to be broadcasting a Trump landslide by 8-9pm Eastern time >>> it'll be the signal for the positioned DNC operatives positioned across the country to start their rabble-rousing - Portland & Seattle ANTIFA bastions will erupt and some of the ghetto cities ready for a November Xmas Spree will start their looting ...

instead of Harris giving a consession speech - it'll be a Obammy Ferguson "it's OK to riot" formated POS - Biden won't be far behind with his "Trump cheated" speech .....

just like in 2016 - it'll be a bunch of skyscreaming - dead issue by Thanksgiving time - even with their planned cheating it won't be enough - and - the DNC can't re-count because of the obvious DNC thieving ....

next day DC empties out until mid to end of January - the big mouth DNC governors & mayors de-camp their Virus push and disappear until the New Year >>>>

don't be buying into the election BS >>> it's the Wall Street Black Cloud opportunists and the DNC pushing the bull ....

Telephone companies have 'throttling - the ability to cut or limit traffic in/out of an area owing to high traffic levels. This, ostensibly, is to ensure 'necessary' (Government) communications. Gov't employee have a bypass number to call to access open trunk circuits.. They can also kill everything but 911 access.

I've had to deal with this - but there are work-arounds.

I was in SoCal when he PEPCON plant detonated in Henderson NV. I could not get a line to Las Vegas - owing to massive traffic levels.

So, I called my MIL in Utah - call went thru no problem. She was able to call Las Vegas no problem and confirm all was well at home.

In a riot situation, everything may be locked down, both land line and Cell. In this case, it pays to have pre-arranged and agreed to plans should you be stuck in this situation.

Never think that the worse could not happen. People have been brainwashed for years and afew are able to have a civil conversation.

I have been seeing a civil defense manual advertised lately. Cost $100 but may be worth it if you are in an urban setting. Matthew Bracken wrote a review of the manual.
