This is the truth, I have had endless problems with a number of rifles, mostly the FN/FAL having two patterns of receiver, I finally went after the Metric receivers and opened them up so the mags fit interchangeably, no more issues! On the Mag-Pul Gen 3 and 4 mags, uneversatility was the driving concern, more for the IWI TAVOR, SCAR, XCR, and SIG then just an AR adaption, so that every one can dip from the same mag well Now to get the damn AR-10 to be universal, and even better, to interchange with ACIS shorty 7.62 and to also start offering long action and .338 L.M. Length!!!! Don't know why the AR-10 type has had so many issues, but that's the main reason I still don't own one! I hear DPMS is the "Accepted" Pattern, but I haven't dug around that black hole enough, my old ArmaLite .243 AR-10 was a pain in the ass, and I sold it off at a loss, just to be rid of it! Only disappointment I have had with a brand new Weapon!
