Oh they hated that inspection with a passion, but if they wanted to leave the Dock, they needed my Signiture on that SOLAS Certificate...
I was lucky enough to have access to a lot of suplus parts and the responsibility to design some items and at one time made the first UPS for the 1MC onboard a Sub. Great to let the juices flow to build new stuff.
Some places have passed laws that you can shoot them down. They are already using them to deliver grenades and such.
Seems you don't have to be a great pilot to get the goods. Fly fast, don't get shot down cover the area in question, don't fly into a tree.
Commercial drones - images of the battlefield Ukraine some drones don't take photos... and both sides play the game Cheap and Effective: the Weaponization of Commercial Drones on the Battlefield Ukraine's Drone Army Was Born In a Crucible of Conflict
The drone that I currently have is a replacement for the one that flew into a drone eating tree. This inexpensive drone takes still photos and video, which can be stored on an SD card or streamed to the combination controller/viewer, is charged via USB cable, and has decent range and flying time. It could be quite handy for a prepper, or anyone, to have on hand. I remember about 10 or 12 years ago, I was on another prepper/survivalist website, and we could only dream about affordable and practical drones.
Speaking of Hollywood and drones, back in the 90s I was an extra in a movie (Gettysburg) and they used a drone for several shots. It was big and noisy, it sounded like a chainsaw, but we thought it was kool!
It's illegal to shoot down a drone, But to my knowledge no one has ever been prosecuted for shooting one down?
Hey are using drones to identify targets and correct artillery fire. So it looks like this Russian armor column got spit roasted by Ukrainian artillery and infinity or resistance, they probably didn't know what the hell was hitting them or where it was coming from.
The government really doesn't want people learning about drones and gps technology? Yeah yeah I know they're looking for a money launder, a crime where the victim is the IRS... Why send the dude a drone and gps video why not a cute cat video? They don't even know if the guy they're looking for even watched the video... Just an oh by the way we accidentally investigated you plus about 30,000 others and you're just collateral damage? Nope not buying the innocent collateral damage rouse.
