    they have also stopped using lead in pipes for drinking water...
    I have seen sinkers what were dipped in plastic but i still see the regular ones also ..

    It is amazing to"Me" that humans are still alive, after 200 years of drinking water, that has flowed they Cast Iron Pipes with Lead Joint Seals...... or Copper Pipes with Lead Soldered Joints.....

    Well Bruce, those cast iron pipes had jute or hemp packing, so the lead was not in contact with the water. The lead was there as an expansion/flex connection and to keep ground water out of the system.

    BTW, Romans and Brits went brain dead from lead in their water, wine and as whitener in their makeup.
