You can order another box in a week if they still have it.

I found a FB group (Reloading Equipment That You Are Getting Rid Of and What Ur Looking To For) that people will list reloading supplies they have and are trying to offload. I would see .25-20 shells every now and then but would usually miss out. Well, last week I scored, 100 pcs of brass for 45.00 shipped. I could turn around and flip these on gun broker and make my money back and then some but I will hang on to them.
So now I have found 300 pcs of brass (all with the correct headstamp).
100 rounds of loaded ammo (Remington and winchester, 50 each). I also have one box of Remington ammo hidden somewhere.
I also ordered 500 pcs of 85grn cast bullets.
Looks like I'll be working up some loads and slingin' some lead down range.

I decided a long time ago that 25-20 was probably the perfect 22lr and 22wmr replacement that is also reloadable.
It seemed like 25-20 ammo was way more available 25 years ago then it is now.
But 22lr ammo was like 2 cents a shot and 22wmr was like 7 cents a shot back then so I never moved on it.

There's even a handful of the old military (?)
.22 rimfire rounds that are a touch longer than .22 mag.

I seem to remember something about a trainer round used in WWII-ish era, maybe by Marines??

While on my annual pilgrimage across the mitten, I was able to find a 6 boxes of 150Gr .35 Remington.
And you know what? At 62.00 per box ... I left them there.
I did however pick up 10 boxes of .22 shorts from a small out of the way bait shop.

That is why I steer clear of old/odd calibers. Cheaper and easier to go with commonly available calibers.

Easy to do if you’re buying, but that plan falls apart when you inherit something.

I wanted to pick up a 38-55 baby Sharps but just dont want to wrestle ammi complications. Annnnd, with the upcoming issues in our country i think i would be best sticking to common calibers...

Hell, it's hard to find 16 GA shotgun shells and 20 GA are about as bad! Also, 2-3/4" shotgun shells are hard to find in anything but birdshot. I didn't inherit any guns in odd calibers, as my folks didn't buy any odd calibers.

    I still shoot the 22 hornet,32-20,38-40,44-40,32 sw, 32sw long,44 special,45lc,and the 45-70.I also shoot the 41 mag,22tcm and the 17 hm2. I have a friend that reloads for me.The 22tcm is a 9mm necked down to 22cal.

I've got a lifetime supply of 35 Remington (factory loaded and spent brass and components), But never hurts to pick it up when i find it. But at 3.00+ per shot. Imma hard pass.
the 22 shorts work in revolvers and levers and a definitely quieter for vermin work around the coop.
Granted, damn groundhogs skulls are kind thick at 20 yards and more than one around here is running with a mohawk.

I shot someone with 32 S&W Long years ago.

It went into the femur and turned about 2" up the marrow. Rubbing the wound made it stop bleeding. (There was a hefty fat layer involved)

Definitely not a one shot drop structurally. It was a successful behavior modifier.

Midway still has some 25-20 available! It's also cheaper than when I bought some a month or so ago.

I was looking from some 6.5x 50. I finally had a SIL, who coming to visit, find some in Feenix. Happily, it was boxer primed.
