You're probably living on a separate plane or level of existence. I don't know how else to say what I already have. I don't see the point of asking if somebody "wins" or not, it's not a clear answer. I guess we've come this far in the past 12 thousand years and we are not more in tune with nature than those who have preceded, we are mostly dependent upon technology instead. Those who came before us long ago could manipulate matter on a scale we still cannot fathom. Why do "they" keep up the charade? I can only surmise they also know we are nearly out of time and the best they can do is continue to accumulate wealth and power in the hopes they will wind up in a more favorable position after the extinction level event. At the lower levels, from Presidents and Popes and the like, it's all about the same greed factor we all know, and I doubt that many of them even are aware of the time crunch. There's a lot to this picture, many layers of control through every apparatus, and at the very top it's still a mystery -but I would bet they know. As for why "we" still partake in the system, it's not too difficult to answer. Many people are just products of society, and the modern human has become accustomed to the multitude of frivolities. I like my creature comforts, and I also know what it is like to live off grid and off record, no license or taxation, being paid under the table. I decided long ago to live simply within the system rather than fight a bunch of people who are following orders and also trying to just live. We are well past the time when we can ALL just drop out and refuse to have social responsibilities. Unless you control a large portion of media and possess enough money and power to sway those who create news, I seriously doubt you will ever get a significant portion of society to drop out. Ride the lightning, see it through to the end. Brave the storm that comes, stay focused on never becoming a victim to fear and tyranny. Resist when you can, and if you aren't willing to die for a cause, then ride it out like the rest. Become a revolutionary if you prefer, whatever makes you giggle and fart. I will place my bets on the universe being much better at having the final say, however.
Probably? I don't get the fear like most people. Just really care about knowledge and action. There are a lot of new signs and things coming up that we have never seen before and they give me some hope. Yeah I may be wrong but it doesn't matter in the end. Just like the rest of us I am part of the whole and this protrusion into this dimension, while important, is not permanent no matter what your spiritual beliefs are. I think we can both agree that there are people who have left the system to live off grid in what you would call a backwards progression. Living in a cabin in the woods like Helen and Scott Nearing is what I would consider going backwards to the old times and while it may be relaxing and fun it is not what I see as a positive step forward for mankind. A positive step forward would be something that improves the human condition. This is not far off from where we are. The oppressive government giant leech just needs to be removed and we already have the tools to do that. No they are not going to allow us anything. We have to just take it. I feel that it may happen whether we participate or not. People are waking up at a painfully slow rate. What are the steps needed to get to there? What would that look like? You want freedom but you want life and the world to be better than it is. This is NOT going to happen by playing by the rules and doing the same things over and over again but expecting different results. The short answer is to go live the life you want. When I was a kid people used to test the limits and boundaries.Today those limits and boundaries are all in your head. Things like copyright law and corporations and lawyers make the world worse. Nobody should be able to prevent anyone from doing anything just because they did it first. Imagine copyright law with beef. I ate it first so you can NEVER have a steak or burger with out paying me a royalty. Its dumb but we let people do it with everything. It stops us from evolving and progressing. It would definitely include free flowing knowledge and that field has been growing very strong over the last few decades with the internet, computers, and technology advancements. There are movies, music, books, news, magazines, art, weather, etc all at your finger tips. Yes they are trying to stop our access to them but the info flows. It would have to include resources and those are easier to come by now than they have ever been in history. With the current projects I am working on I have been able to find things I never would have imagined as recently as in my 20s. Electronics, arduinos, 4x6 tiny display screens, LED lights, hydraulic parts that I can buy at the corner store, titanium, CNC machines, 3D printing, etc. When I was in high school the idea of a 'video phone' was never going to happen. It was years off and only something dreamers thought about. Today I can buy stuff online with magical, tax free, secure computerized money called Bitcoin on my smartphone while hiking in the mountains or traveling around the world and actually build a 'video phone' myself. This magical new world would also have to include like minded people. This is the real problem. Most people can't see past their noses. Only when they actually see something in their hands can they accept it as a possibility. This is why art, music, and dreamers are so important to society. This is why communists kill them first right along with the leaders. Look at the state of music today. This is probably the biggest give away that communists are attacking us. Einstein said that imagination is more important than knowledge. He knew exactly what he was talking about when he said it. You can't make people see something. You can only lead by example. Pandora's box has been opened. We have all the tools we need. The ONLY tool that 'they' have to stop us is to convince us all that it doesn't exist. If you think that we are worse off tech wise or education or advancement than our predecessors, it is a big factor, but it is not THE factor. Our will and drive alone is the most important factor. Its not the size of the dog in the fight. Being the unreasonable, pernicious little dog that never gives up and annoys the shit out of everyone is actually what matters. I'm sure what I'm saying doesn't make sense to a lot of people but they will understand it one day.
We are nearly out of time. Please don't miss my point. Doesn't matter if we all snap together right now and tomorrow we take over and all the people sing and dance and start getting to work the next day. We've had 12 thousand years, this is where we are and the universe is going to flip the reset switch any time now. Even if we have another 200 years, the odds are not in our favor. We would have to suddenly work together as one race, focus all our attention to scientific progression, reroute all funds to education and technology, never fight wars or get tripped up, maintain a sensible population and distribute food adequately, and every part of this requires mankind to be logical, sensible, honest, hard working, selfless, and devoted to this cause. It's a fantasy, nothing more. You are very hopeful, I do not mean to rain on your parade so to speak, but the reality of this situation will not change no matter what attitude we have at this point. This iteration of humanity has failed, and as far as I'm concerned it's case closed.
Exactly. My concern is really not so much as to whether or not this iteration has failed but rather, how to make what we do have left work. Everyone dies eventually. Everyone. If it wasn't the end of the line what would you do? How do you think a submarine would fare when the poles flip? What about when the earth's crust comes loose? LOL how can you not laugh when seeing this. What else are you going to do? Worry? This is all a game. Some people will stop playing the game, some will worry about their next moves, but all you really have to do is play the game. Perhaps time travel is worth looking into. What would you do with a time machine and immortality? What do we know about time travel and has it been done? Operation Looking Glass? Philadelphia Experiment? The reason I bring this up is not to attempt to create it, but if it does exist then someone some where is, or has, used it.
Sorry I just can’t be that negative about the overall prospects for humanity. I tend towards the doom and gloom as much as the next person on here BUT I am just not willing to write everyone off yet!
Well of course. Nobody is willing to write everyone off but it doesn't matter. The world does not care if you write them off or if you love them or the earth or hate the earth or the animals or the plants. It just keeps on spinning regardless. Historically the worst off mankind has been was a world wide population low of appx 5000 souls. Of course nobody was there to record it and scientists are often wrong but all of the evidence points to this. Assuming the magnetic flip and nova is equal to or less than the previous one humanity will survive so they can try it all over again and maybe this time get it right. Assuming it is worse, and these things do tend to increment, there is a real chance that all of our chances are over. If man survives he has a real chance to go nowhere and do nothing and eventually die as a species along with the rest of the animals on the planet for even if you were to tell everyone on the planet that doomsday is coming and we must all work together to survive, they would all forget in one generation and then start bickering about politics, abortion, and gun rights as if they meant something. They don't. The odds are not in our favor and listening to idiots makes them less. So you can see why Brokor has a pessimistic (realistic?) view of the state of things. Look at Elon Musk. He is trying to build rockets to take us to other worlds and save mankind and people are fighting him. Why? He paid the most taxes of anyone in history and they kept right on attacking him. He made the first usable electric cars and yet people keep attacking him. People are so stupid as a whole that they are willing to die to be right. It doesn't make them right that they are willing to die for it. It just makes them dead but what they are doing is dragging down everyone else with them. This is why you don't save a drowning person.
Saving drowning persons is what surf lifesavers do....Surf lifesaving - Wikipedia Saving a drowning person, to the extent that doing so doesn't unduly imperil one's own life, is one of the supreme acts of ethical courage that ordinary humans can do. Success is a matter of fitness, training, skill, technique, and a good portion of luck. Saving a life is worthwhile, even a life that some might deem worthless.
Yeah man, Take me as an example, Slipped off a creek bank when I was probably 4 years old, Under I went. I remember clawing the water towards daylight when a hand grabbed me pulling me up. Some young guy in his teens. Today's youth would be filming and my dumbass would be dead. See how well I turned out?
I think some here would happily throw me back in...repeatedly! Edit: am glad you were able to see the light of day then, and every day subsequently. The world would be much poorer without a Gator 45/70. Cheers from chello.
The information on novas is still evolving. Depending on where you look you will get different answers as to why and how they occur. Some people, including NASA still say that they only occur in a white dwarf. We know this is not true. In the video below they talk about dark matter but that has been proven not to exist. These things are all coming out still but people talk about them as if they are facts. We know that they have happened in the past but people are still around. There is hope. The leading theory is that our sun will either nova or micro-nova and cause the earth to get warm. Really warm. This WILL kill a lot of people and also cause electronic devices to basically be gone along with about 75% of the animal and plant life on the planet. So surviving may be worse than melting instantly. I pose the theory that there are things we can do. Underground bunkers are one idea while deep sea living is another. Some people think we can travel to other planets that are further from the Sun. All of the planets would be affected by this but we do have options and the more of those options we have the better. The nova is being predicted to happen around 2025. That is not a big window to get ready but hey, this is survival monkey forums. That's what we do. That is why I started the thread, to show that people are doing something. Using the earth as a shield from the Sun nova is one such idea. Space stations and rockets could be used to try and survive and with every rich guy on the planet making one and tickets costing under $100k it is some thing someone WILL try. These things sound like really big threats but if you give any problem enough thought you can always find a solution. The summary of threats: Nova The earth is appx 71% water. This may be the reason people have survived in the past. Ever try blow torching water? It is a good insulator. As it heats it creates steam which will further insulate. This could be used to advantage. How hot and for how long would it take to evaporate all of the oceans? 10 Underwater Facilities You Could Actually Live In - Listverse Poles flip/tsunami This seems a much easier scenario to survive than a nova. Your location would be the biggest factor. Ships at sea would have a better chance as well as submarines. Underground shelters may or may not fare so well because you could also get trapped. Living on top of a mountain would be great but there are not a lot of places high enough. The highest point is 29k feet but you need oxygen at those levels. The Rocky Mountains are 14,400 feet high at the highest point and people do live there. This would be high enough to survive some very large tsunami waves and it is well inland. Earth's crust coming loose http://carlotto.us/MJCtechPubs/pdfs/2022JSE.pdf Imagine earth quakes world wide. This would trigger tsunami and volcano and then you are in the same situation. If the earth's crust comes loose the earth quakes would be very strong. Enough to break your legs, and probably most of your bones, if you are anywhere near the epicenter, which would be pretty much everywhere. Again being in a boat or submarine would be better. The Nova wont have much warning so you would have to be watchful to see it coming. The poles flipping would be slower and you would know its coming. The earth's crust coming loose would also give you some warning. Now imagine trying to prepare for any of these events. Your neighbors are going to look at you strange. Noah building an ark? So you need a boat, plane (or rocket), submarine, and/or underground shelter as well as an early warning system. If nothing else you can take comfort in knowing that some of our ancestors did survive similar situations. Nova - Wikipedia
I went over some rapids at around 12 years old and had my foot get caught in some roots in the middle of the funnel on a small waterfall. Nobody came to rescue me so I did a sit-up underwater hanging upside down, grabbed the roots, and freed myself. Not an easy thing to do upside down under water and backwards. Because nobody came to rescue me and I was able to free myself I got to see what I was made out of and I think it made a significant difference on my life perspective. I don't ask for hand outs and am an asset to anyone fortunate enough to have me on their team.
On the Elon Musk subject, I can easily understand his determination, but we should not be fooled by the events that are unfolding, either. Musk has stated many times that he just wants to be happy, he wants to be positive and focus on something besides the defeatist mindset. Now, with that being said, I feel compelled to mention the fact that battery powered automobiles and everything else (if they are lithium-ion) is just a stepping stone, nothing more. We simply cannot continue to manufacture metal batteries with rare components for any length of time that will make it seem viable. As of right now, some of the components are literally being mined by hand in third world countries at the detriment of those who dig it up and process it. We do not have enough materials to continue this unsafe and very hazardous way of producing lithium-ion battery cells. With that being said, Elon is on track with this and is currently working on producing a metal-free battery, but I am not hopeful it will pan out...but that's how I roll. As for any carbon based technology, or for that matter any fuel source derived from fossil fuels and other component to propel craft and vehicles, it's not a winning situation in the long run. I would very much like to see electromagnetic propelled craft and real futuristic technology, not kerosene and liquid oxygen rockets and electric cars.
You might be right Sir Chello ,,, I'd probably cast ya in 10 or 12 times ,, if nothing bit ya ,, I'd unhook ya ,,and if ya still had a little kick ,,, I'd sling ya back in the bait bucket ,,, and try a different bait .
Completely agree. The amount of earth need to be moved to produce 1 of the cells in a Tesla is 55K tons. Not what you would call efficient. I think there is a lot of work in the electromagnetic propelled areas but not a lot of publicity for them. Next lets look into electromagnetic levitation/propulsion. As for submarines... at least you'll have fun doing it. After doing a lot of research on submarine design and construction it appears that analog designs are much more reliable than digital when in a water environment.
Dr. Travis Taylor mentioned the other day on one show how a certain sound pitch during the testing of Saturn 3? booster rocket test's that the sound produced negative gravity and the rockets tore loose of its mooring. Sound may be the answer?
There are other stories about frequency, whether sound or electrons or ions or magnetism, causing a lot of gravity related events. It really should be its own thread but I do have a lot of stuff on this subject. I think I'll post it here. I know Brokor does too. This actually seems like it is completely doable and something anyone can research given the right direction.
Here's a thought. What if we are the aliens on this planet? We sure aren't like any other life form. "History are the lies we agree to be true" Acoustic (sonic) Levitation Does sound have enough energy and force to levitate things? Air seems light but it actually has weight. It is around .0807lbs per sq foot. With an atmosphere of 300 miles the pounds per square inch is about 14.7. The issue is not the weight of air or the viscosity but rather the frequency of the sound. The entire results are based on density. This seems counter intuitive but essentially what you are doing is taking high pressure areas and low pressure areas to push your object from one spot to another. I don't see how this can work in space where there is no oxygen. On earth it seems a good mode of transportation. One of the things to point out is that this could be used in combination with other technologies as pointed out in the videos below. All of the videos below show them levitating light objects such as styrofoam and beans and small electronic parts. The question I was unable to find and answer to is does the size of the speaker or volume of the sound affect the amount of weight lifted. This would take some time, testing, and research to conclude and electromagnetic levitation is what you would need for off world applications. A lot of people think that Acoustic Levitation is how they built the pyramids. Acoustic Levitation: The Secret of the Pyramids and Ancient Megaliths https://pure.hw.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/16130618/full_paper_537_20170531181108276.pdf Perhaps sound waves would work better for health applications
I understand that accoustic levitation provides a pleasant sensation to one's freckle when seated on a large bass amplifier...less so on a treble...ah science!
