Anyone have any experience with this set up? Century Arms International RAS47/C39V2 AK Micro Dot Side Mount Aluminum Black Century Arms International RAS47/C39V2 AK Micro Dot Side Mount Aluminum Black - SC1327 - 787450385528
Here's mine! Both Arsenal, Inc., w/ milled receivers & side scope-mounts. The top one is an SA-M7-S in 7.62 x 39mm. The bottom one is an SA-M5-S in 5.56 x 45mm. I actually like these two carbines better than my Colt LE6920; and, somewhat curiously, they, each, will produce 1.5 inch groups w/ iron sights @ 100 yards.
Very nice. That said, they illustrate a potential for confusion, grabbing one in a hurry for some reason and grabbing the wrong ammo can. YOU may not be susceptible to that sort of blunder, but I am. Not with that pair or similar, but in other ways.
You're going to like this! (Ready?) I'm one of those people who will stop and divide up the food on his plate into specific items before beginning to eat. (I know; I know! I'm 'OCD'; and I just can't seem to help myself! My 45 ACP Glocks have blue slide covers on them; and my 9mm Glocks have red.) As for the ammo cans: (Wait! How did you know that I have ammo cans? Are you watching me on my 'Smart TV'; or are you just plugged into the Google 'Alexa' at the house! ) I've got masking tape and magic marker labels on top of each can; and I cover the marking tape with clear plastic packing tape in order to make these labels last longer and stay in place. By the way I, also, thought of this idea when I selected the Arsenal SA-M5-S, and the Colt LE6920. Why? Because they're both 5.56 x 45mm guns; and the 5.56mm ammunition cans will work with either one! Besides, I think it's reasonable to expect that there will be some sort of supply problem, or shortage with the 7.62 x 39mm ammo; but, no matter the national emergency, I also think that the supplies of 5.56mm ammo are going to be around and available for a lot longer. Hence my own strong emphasis on: 5.56mm, 12 gauge, and 22 LR and WMR (both in plated RN, of course!) long arm ammunition; and: 45 ACP, 9 x 19mm, 357 Magnum/38 Special, and 22 LR pistol ammunition, as well.
