I honestly don't see the point in this. You're looking at a round(.30-30) that runs WHAT 1,800-2,100 FPS? In a rifle/carbine that doesn't really like heavy bullets. AND isn't known for being suppressed.. Why not run the blackout that was designed to run a 200 grain bullet suppressed and be done with it?? Why run a SS bullet through a suppressor? Kinda defeats the purpose... Yes, it will help mask where the shot is coming from, but again, to me if you are going through all the trouble and paperwork that our government(in it's infinite wisdom) requires why not use it to it's upmost? and it's whisper-not wisper...
I do what I do with all my new shot gun loads, strap the gun to a stand and pull the trigger from a safe distance.
200 is the limit, should try to stay under that plus I already have 190gr bullets. Since I posted this I found someone who tried subsonic 200gr in a 1:12 gun, said the bullets hit sideways at 150yds. Why not a 300 blackout? I already have the 30-30, the dies, brass, a ton of ammo and the 30-30 doesn't have a gas system. So switching between full power and subsonic won't effect functionality.
