But quite frankly your assertion that no one can debate this without the correct resume, don't fly with this any more than a woman telling me I can't talk about abortion because I can't have kids.

The bottom line is all you have put out there is "they can't, because I say they can't" and that Audie Murphy only earned the MOH because he could shoot people, which quite frankly is pretty disrespectful of one of America's most decorated combat heroes.

The great thing about a forum like this is you can make your arguments with the power of words and thoughts, without pulling rank or position to sway others to your point of view. If you have to pull the resume card, you already lost the discussion.

It seems to have come down to you and 2 others...and they are both set in concrete and nothing that could be said is going to do anything other than harden them in their positions, since everyone who disagrees obviously has no clue of what they speak.

I'm not a big fan of t-shirt philosophy, but I keep being reminded of a piece of it that says "A mind is like a parachute...you can't use it unless it is open". It seems a few people in this discussion just can't find the D-ring...and I have never been a proponent of beating my head on a wall.

Fact, women have children while in combat zones as well as conceive them in combat zones. Neither one is good for the Mil, the Mom or the Child.

 

And that is a fact.

 

Ceramic plates for the iba do come in different sizes for the different size vests. Just sayin'.

What I did pretty clearly point out is that those who speak on a theoretical level about combat don't have any idea what they are talking about. You pretty much need to see the elephant to be able to understand it. With particular respect to you, and without knowing your background, I simply said it would be great if you refrained from educating me about combat unless you've seen it.

I didn't say that, and to conflate abortion (murder of innocents) with putting people incapable of doing a dangerous job in the role of doing it, and thereby endangering the lives of themselves and others needlessly, is a logical fallacy. If you think I'm wrong in my assertion that females can't physically compete with males, prove me wrong. I would say the burden of proof is on you. Or don't. But don't assume you win the debate because you said, "Huh uhh!".

I made my argument with the power of words and thoughts. What I can only assume is "pulling rank or position" comes from your assertion that I did something that I didn't do. Namely to tell people that they can't have an opinion because they aren't in the military. I will maintain however, that people can't have an opinion on what combat is or isn't until they've been there. If applicable, you included. Maybe I'm unreasonable.
